In the year 1982 36 pairs and 6 teams participated. Alan Sontag and Peter Weichel won the pairs tournament and Karl Sigurhjartarson (Karl, Ásmundur Pálsson, Þórir Sigurðsson, Hörður Blöndal, Hjalti Elíasson og Guðmundur Pétursson) won the teams tournament. Team from Norway were invited in 1982.
